Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) tools feel great and aren't as intimidating as they look. They help mobilize fascial adhesions that can result from immobilization, strains, and sprains (to name a few). They definitely help my hands but providing a deep, localized pressure when indicated.

Though the tools and regular massage can help you get on your way to feeling better, you also need to help yourself by staying active and staying on top of regular exercising and prehab. Tune in soon to see some of my favourite exercises to help mobilize and strengthen common areas that become troublesome.
