I am extremely proud of this gallery. The location was a treat to shoot at, and the photos turned out beautiful. I'm thrilled this is the case, as I likely won't take another agility trial again until next year. So if you want an agility photo from me, get them now!
Thank you deeply to Leaps N Bounds Agility (www.LNBAgility.ca) -Langley/Aldergrove, BC for having me out! The trial ran smoothly, there were lots of laughs, and the Sunday weather soundtrack was fire. 🔥
Until next time!

I usually aim to have the photos ready for viewing and purchase by the Thursday following a trial, but this week has been extremely busy - I'm sorry and I promise I'm working hard when I can!
For today's photo, here's the beginning of the course - an intense look. Sometimes startline photos can look really neat.

Look at Stella fly!
The photos are all organized and culled, but now comes the editing. I often have a hard time with this stage, because I want both a wide angle and a close-up crop of each picture! Take this one for example. Cropped in close makes Stella look larger than life, but the original (in the comments) also looks amazing and shows just how big of an A-frame she has to scale!
Let me know which version you prefer and guide what happens with the editing process!

We always knew who Carson Kong liked most but now it's caught on camera as he walks away with a sheltie in his arms and his wife on the ground. 😂

I'm going to use today's photo to make a statement.
Please do not run my photos through AI.
If you have a photo you wish to have edited, please reach out to me and let's discuss your vision. I will always do my best to work with you, but note these are real moments captured and the edit isn't always possible.
I take offense to my art and my hard work being put through a machine that has questionable environmental consequences, has trained on stolen content, and does not have heart or morals.
I spend countless hours showing up to your trials to sit in dirt, in blazing sun, in rain, and all other difficult environments to capture moments like this - happiness, teamwork and a sliver of time unique to YOU.
I love my job, but the photos I put out are not a callous snap. I study course maps. I take lessons. I pay for camera gear, computers, programs, photo hosting, and even insurance in the case of accident to myself or your dog. And more, but listing it is boring.
I do not appreciate having my photos changed by generative AI.
Please respect my wishes.
Thank you.
P.S. But just like.. look at these two happy faces. 🥹 AI could never create this second of happiness. They're beautiful and so in sync together!

Did anyone happen to see an ear left behind? Emma seems to have lost one.
Now that the dust has settled, I can tell you all the photos are all uploaded and getting sorted through! Here are the honest numbers: I took 14,000 photos and imported just under 7400 of them to my program. Ever wonder what I'm doing in between runs? Furiously deleting all the ones your dog doesn't look their best, are out of focus, or are just plain bad! After I go through them, I aim to have under 2000 available for purchase; this trial may end up being more since Leaps N Bounds Agility (www.LNBAgility.ca) -Langley/Aldergrove, BC hosted at such a gorgeous location!
This is something I'm trying to get better at! If I can get the photo right in camera without extras, it means less work for myself on the computer and a faster turnaround for you! I've improved immensely in my workflow, but there are always places to improve. One day I'll take less photos but today is not that day. 😂

Weaves were the theme of today's photos. Weaves and rain. Are you all thawed out yet?!

Shooting agility outdoors is such a treat, let's do it all over again tomorrow guys!
The venue is so nice I may have taken too many photos. 😅
Here is part 2 for my experiment over the K9 Cliffhangers agility weekend! Thank you everyone who let me play around with their dog's run. I had lots of fun!
I'm not sure how often I'll have this, but it was fun to dabble and editing this together definitely showed I have some holes in the type of footage I took. It's a new, fun venture for sure.

Remember when I asked if I could use some dogs as an experimental run? Here's one of the things I was trying - slow-mo panning shots during agility!
