Here is photo #2 of Cheryl's Ginkgo Shawl pinned to the blocking board. Blocking was achieved with an aggressive wet blocking method. Very interesting fabric, indeed.

This Friday's FO is courtesy of Cheryl. She just competed her Ginkgo by Yumiko Alexander (see Ravelry). A perfect layering piece for spring and summer. Cheryl chose to use Estelle's Linocott yarn in Forest Green. The project took 4 skeins. If you would like to join Cheryl and learn how to make your own Ginkgo, please join us Saturday, June 20, 2026 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. Simply call the store at 519-474-0403 to register for the class. Stay tuned for a second photo of Cheryl's Ginkgo in 5 minutes pinned out to the blocking board.

Today we are showcasing Abby's WIP. It is called Love Note from tincanknits. This is the start of something great! Abby has chosen to use Berroco Tillie yarn and it is the perfect choice for this project. The colour is 10915 Fay and it will take 2 skeins of Tillie to complete the project. Tillie's blend of Pima Cotton and Cupro Cotton (a silk-like by product of cotton production) will be perfect to create a breathable fabric and create the perfect layering piece. So nice!

Today's Finished Object (FO) comes from Natashja's felted Bunny Class. This class was taught recently in the store and what fun it was! Look at those cute little gaffers! Students were allowed to pose their bunny, sitting or standing, and each one has a character all it's own. Natashja from Knotted Theory has taught many felting workshops here at the shop, and we are very honoured to be carrying her numerous felting kits. Lovely!

Today's WIP is the start of something really beautiful! 😍 Let us introduce you to Cheryl's Landscape Shawl. Cheryl found the pattern on Ravelry from Martin Up North. The shawl is worked in Tunisian Crochet and what a stunning fabric! The yarn used is a combination of stash using Berroco Vintage Baby, but as it starts to grow, Cheryl is adding more DK yarns. Berroco Vintage DK, and Estelle DK in cleverly chosen colours. You can't help but love the effect of the 3 dimensional shifts the easy to master technique produces. Love it!

Cheryl has finished her Frost & Bloom Crochet-a-Long Afghan! This is simply stunning. We love the colour play and the oh so subtle shift of colours. A masterpiece!
