Love this šŸ‘šŸ»!

I think what gets me isn’t even the word anymore.

It’s the weight people put on it.

Like being ā€œfatā€ is supposed to cancel everything else out about a person. Their character. Their life. Their heart. Their impact.

I just don’t see it that way.

My body might carry fat.
Cool. That’s one detail.

But that’s not my identity.

My identity is how I show up for my life every day.
How I love.
How I care.
How I keep going, even when it’s hard.
How I’m building something for myself and actually living my life.

There are so many worse things a person could be.
And somehow, this is the one people cling to?

If all you see when you look at someone is their body…
you’re missing everything that actually matters.

BMI is trash!

This is a must watch šŸ‘‡!

These aren’t my words but I agree with them wholeheartedly. Be bold and stand up to diet culture. It is lying to you, as well as profiting off of you. Remember, 95% of diets fail. Don’t feed into the lies! You are so much more than your body 😊.

For anybody who needs a reminder, I came across this quote online and really resonated with it. Your eating disorder is ALWAYS lying to you and, unfortunately, so is diet culture. Stay strong ā¤ļø!
