The Recovery Addict

I struggled using hard drugs to mask my pain for about 16 years. Now with almost 2.5 years of recovery behind me, I've started writing a book to share my story, with hopes it may help even one person fight their demons and come out on top. Hard drugs took my life away from me one piece at a time. In the past 2 and a half years however, I have taken my life back one piece at a time and currently am the best version of myself that I've been in a very long time. My life isn't perfect by any means and there's still plenty of work ahead to keep climbing. I wish to share my journey, past, present and future, with anyone caught in the grips of addiction, with anyone in recovery needing some motivation as well as with anyone who who knows and loves an addict and wishes to gain a better understanding of addiction to be better equipped to help the addict in their life.
