Please consider donating to this cause as well as sharing if you are able. Ryland is an incredibly valued member of the NRC/CEN community, and a dear friend of many of our students, alumni, and club members, who has experienced a series of life altering events throughout the past week.
Ryland is one of the most kind, hardworking, and genuine people that many of us have had the pleasure of attending school and working with.
On behalf of the Conservation Enforcement Club, Ryland and his brother Emmett, their loved ones, and all who have been affected by this are in our thoughts and hearts throughout this difficult time.

MOCK INVESTIGATION: Lethbridge Polytechnic MOCK Fish and Wildlife Enforcement Services is looking for information about a poaching incident involving a suspected mountain goat found in the coulees behind Lethbridge Polytechnic.
On January 21, 2025, fish and wildlife officers responded to a report of a mortality signal from a mountain goat which had been collared for research purposes. The goat was suspected to have been shot at the scene as the collar was removed, and the animal harvested and taken from the scene. This occurred in WMU 402.
Under the Alberta Wildlife Act, it is an offence to hunt wildlife outside of an open season, hunt without a licence, or be in possession of unlawfully obtained wildlife.
If you have any information, please contact the Lethbridge MOCK Fish & Wildlife Office at 780-446-8708 or [email protected], or the Report-A-Poacher line at 587-370-2646.
Reports can be made anonymously.

After a bit of a hiatus, the CE club will be posting on Facebook again as we’ve regained access!
Join us on Monday, February 10 at 1700 hours in Westwinds Theatre (CB1005) for an important presentation on the importance of officer fitness in resource enforcement. All welcome.
Many students wonder how to prepare for the PARE, and more importantly, how to maintain strong fitness habits as they progress into seasonal and full time enforcement careers - this is an amazing opportunity to begin building that knowledge and getting on the right track in ensuring that you are physically prepared to stay safe in the field.
