Want to win this book? Write us your best two sentence scare story below! The winner will be chosen on the 16th of October! Not sure what to write? Here's an example from one of our librarians:
"I could always tell when it was my mother coming up over the steps, I’d hide under my quilt and pretend to be fast asleep. She never did stop coming to check up on me, not even after she died."
Happy writing, and stay spooky! 🎃

March 21st, 1979, the Aurora brought us this phenomenal story about these adventurers. The caption reads as follows:
"There aren't many people who will tell you it is 5,600 miles from Montreal to Labrador City and even fewer people who will believe it. But, for John Pisanski, John Choquette, Andre Dupres and Jerry Bisson, that is how far they had to travel. They did it the long way by circling the province of Quebec.
They left Montreal on January 13th and only arrived in Labrador City last Tuesday, covering the entire distance by snow machine. Their intention was to take a vacation and at the same time commemorate the 50th anniversary of Bombardier.
From Montreal they went to Sugluk in Deception Bay, then on to Fort Chimo, Schefferville and Labrador City. They stayed overnight in Labrador City and left again last Wednesday to resume their journey. They also planned to make stops in Gangon and Quebec City before arriving in Montreal. The group expected to complete the 6,000 mile trip yesterday, March 20. The men were using Liquid cooled 444 Bombardiers with parts and some gas provided by the Bombardier company."
So, what do you think? Would you be up for the challenge? As always, to access our wealth of local periodicals, swing by the library to say hello! Happy ! 📖
