Effective immediately a fire ban has been issued for the "tri-communities". This ban also includes fireworks.

For resort communities in the Northern District and Lac La Ronge Provincial Park, please contact their admin offices and social media pages for information regarding any bans.

UPDATE: 4:30pm - Highway 102 North of La Ronge is now open.

The fire department has been made aware of a photo of the accident scene being shared to La Ronge community Facebook groups. We are requesting that admins of these pages to refrain allowing these images being shared. Please show respect for the families involved and do what's right.

7:27am - LRRFD is on scene of a serious single motor vehicle collision just north of La Ronge on HWY 102. At this time the highway is shutdown roughly 5kms north of the airport. There is no ETA for when it will open at this time. We will provide updates as they change.
