Camp Kinisoo

Another busy week at camp. Full house and lovely folks although not the greatest weather. Headed into town to drop a group off and to fill up on supplies before heading back out to camp. The wind had settled down and I was AHEAD of schedule ( that’s a rarity) for a change so I thought I would toss my favourite lure in Hunter Narrows for 20 minutes or so. Two casts later….118 cm (47.2 inches) 29 lbs. As the saying goes "Every dog has his day!"

Note: The reason this lake trout was not released was due to injury. It would not have survived.

From the early days of Camp Kinisoo to the present the one thing that has always stayed the same is the fishing...still fantastic after all these years

....but the fishing is great!!

It’s not all about the great fishing…

And when the guide isn’t guiding…well even Branden can’t resist a world class fishery…

Accommodations at Camp Kinisoo ($90 Can./night/person)

Jeff Hawkes and family came up from Utah never having fished for walleye, lake trout or pike. Jeff (10 lb. pike), his son, Aero, (7 1/2 lb. walleye) and father-in-law Rob (15 lb. lake trout) got the hang of it pretty darn quick and had a great trip!

On every Northwinds fishing trip a little rain must fall ☔️⛈️ and some trout need to be caught!
