35mm Film and Drone of the Athabasca Sand Dunes Provincial Park |

Stretching over 100 km's to Alberta's Fort Chip., these dunes represent the largest active sand body in Canada(!). In a recent excursion, PhD Biologist Aaron Bell commented that he captured and identified 100 unique beetle species in the first few hours; diversity! Honored to see this hidden and beautiful gem.

Artist: Art by Annalisa / Annalisa Heppner
Host/Venue: the Alex Robertson Public Library next to the Town of La Ronge office | Tourism Saskatchewan | La Ronge Arts Council

It's great to have such a regional and inspiring mural in a place with so much local knowledge, books, and resources. This installation invigorates a space meant for all people, bringing the outdoors just a bit closer to your nearby reading nook.

‘Before I die I want to..’

I’ve always loved stories. Growing up in Northern Saskatchewan I was raised within Indigenous paradigms that highly value and prize the art of storytelling-- of symbolism, and Legends. The boreal forest provided the perfect nursery for childish eyes and my wonder grew around the natural beauty. I followed the beauty to a degree in Biology, and then a Masters in Northern Governance and Development at the University of Saskatchewan. I picked up my first camera in Graduate School, 5 years ago, ahead of a field-school in northern Norway.

I over-learned, only to realize both my degrees were about stories: origin stories, modern stories, love stories, and stories of research and innovation. I got out of my own spotlight to shine it on others.

Today I work as a highly-collaborative content creator. You should hire me if you value:

Energy, Honesty, Creativity, Ethics, Collaboration, Shared Vision, Co-Authorship, and Passion
