I wrote this song, Second Hand Love, after realizing that the very things I once thought disqualified me from love were actually the very things that prepared me for it.
When you’ve been through heartbreak a few times, you start to carry stories and I've seen these stories start to appear in my thoughts, my actions and even my beliefs. You learn your patterns. You learn how you shut down, how you overextend, how you fight, how you forgive. You collect tools: better language, softer edges, stronger boundaries. And somewhere along the way, you can start to feel like your experiences have left you "used". Like we are past the point where anyone could see the light in us that may have been dimmed by life, love or living life out of alignment.
But I began to see it differently.
There’s something deeply beautiful about a heart that’s been tried and tested. Someone who has known neglect recognizes care instantly. Someone who has felt unseen knows how sacred it is to be truly seen. There’s a gratitude that comes with surviving love — a reverence for connection that you don’t get when everything is brand new.
To me, it’s like finding that perfectly broken in jacket at a thrift store. It already moves with you. It’s softened in all the right places. It doesn’t need to be forced into shape, it’s lived in, and that living gives it character. Depth. Warmth. This song
is for anyone who’s mistaken their scars for flaws. It’s an invitation to see your history not as damage, but as craftsmanship. The tears, the lessons, the self-awareness — they don’t make you harder to love.
They make you ready.

Full of songs and stories and memories.
I wanted to take a moment and just think about all of the people who have been in my corner over the years. I went through my photos today, and it brought me back to so many eras and little chapters with music, jokes, and most importantly people that have highlited each chapter and given meaning to the years and times.
I want to just say If we had a good chat at a bus stop or if we have cruised down the mountains of BC or if we have even just been in the same room checking out a great concert. You are a good time buddy. Thanks to all of the good time buddies over the years. I really do love you. You mean the world to me.
I am chuffed just thinking bout how lucky I am to know you all.
Im gonna thank some buddies that made this album possible.
You all give me hope, love, sound and I am eternally grateful to you all for the music and friendship.
