Starting April 20th, Canada’s new government will suspend the full amount of tax on gasoline and diesel. Cutting the tax will reduce fuel costs for Canadians and business, including food, agriculture, housing, and delivery sectors.

It was wonderful to see thousands of people from across our Region come together in celebration of Eid‑ul‑Fitr. Thank you for welcoming me.

A month of reflection, generosity, and discipline—values truly embodied by everyone I met at Huron Heights last Friday.

Canada is investing in the next generation of agricultural workers. Our federal government has announced up to $27 million for the Youth Employment and Skills Program (YESP) over the next two years. Starting in 2026–27, this program will feature a more streamlined application process to better support youth seeking jobs in agriculture.

It's great news for farmers and youth here in Kitchener-Conestoga and across the country!

It was great to join the Building Trades AGM once again. The skilled trades are at the heart of Canada’s future, and the work done by tradespeople is shaping communities across the country.

Great to join our community for a Holi celebration over the weekend. It was wonderful to gather and share in the colours, joy, and sense of togetherness that this festival brings.

This year felt especially meaningful as we celebrated the opening of the new Radha Krishna Mandir and Culture Center, a space made possible by years of dedication. It’s already becoming a place for connection, cultural learning, and activities for all ages.

Across our communities, the traditions and spirit you bring enrich our country in so many ways. I wish everyone a season filled with peace, good health, and bright new beginnings.

It was an honour to join so many community, civic, faith, and academic leaders at the Grand River Friendship Society’s Ramadan Iftar.
