A few weeks ago, our team, along with the City of Cambridge, celebrated the Grand Opening of the newly renovated Preston Memorial Arena! 🎉
 
The festivities included a fun filled night of free public skating, walking tours, inflatables, face painting, even a Cambridge Rivulettes games, and of course a ceremonial ribbon cutting to commemorate the Grand Opening of the Arena.
 
Our team is happy to celebrate with the City of Cambridge in the opening of this new facility, and to have lead the construction process of a facility that will support the Cambridge community for years to come!

JOB UPDATE: New Student Residence for Tilbury Capital! 🏗️🚧
 
Our team has been hard at work this month as the steel structure has gone up for our new student residence project with Tilbury Capital!
 
Created to be a modern facility for all incoming students, this residence building will feature a grab-and-go food service, study spaces, multi-purpose rooms for formal and in-formal learning, and even a fitness area. The intent behind this residence building is to foster a collaborative and entrepreneurial spirit that inspires ideas and knowledge transfer. 
 
We are excited to see how this project will continue to progress!

PROJECT WIN! 🎉
 
Our team at Ball Construction are pleased to announce that we have recently partnered with the City of Kawartha Lakes on the construction of a new Paramedic Headquarters for the City! This project is hugely important to the Kawartha Lakes community as it will serve as a central hub for all paramedic operations, including training areas, vehicle maintenance, emergency response coordination and even administrative offices! 
 
Acting as the construction manager for this project, we are excited and honoured to help the City to create this fully modern, fully functional, facility. Stay tuned as we will provide updates as this project moves along!

JOB UPDATE: Barrie YMCA! 🏗️🚧
 
This month, our team along with our partners at reached a new milestone on our Barrie YMCA project as we installed our new steel structure!
 
This milestone is not only one that means progress on the new facility, but also signifies a step closer to creating a space that will foster connection, community and a place of belonging for each and every person, family, and child who steps through those doors. We are excited to see how the progress continues on this project. Stay tuned!

Happy Retirement Cam! 🏆

Today our team celebrated an amazing milestone, the retirement of our Vice President, Partner-In-Charge, Cameron Ball! A long standing member of our team, he has helped lead our company with integrity and honesty. After 40+ years of dedicated service, we are happy to see Cam take his well-deserved retirement. We wish him a restful retirement and thank you for all your years of service!

A huge congratulations to Rod Aitken, one of our vice presidents here at Ball Construction, on being appointed as the 2025 GVCA Board Chair!

We have no doubt Rod will achieve great things in collaboration with the GVCA, and we eagerly anticipate what's to come!

The Ground Breaking Ceremony for the new YMCA took place in the this past Friday, as Ball gears up to mobilize on site!

Back in January the Miskin Law Community Complex opened to the public!
After already many successful events hosted, we are so pleased to see the community enjoying their new space!

Ball Construction's Director of Health & Safety, Brian Burns, represented the company last week on the UBC Contractor Panel in Las Vegas. He engaged in a Q&A session with third-year Carpenter apprentices. Brian found the experience to be highly rewarding, noting that the attendees were very attentive to their personal health and safety while on the job.
