Such a great day at REC Real Estate Connect in Toronto with an incredible lineup of speakers including Scott Stratten, Tamir Poleg, Walter Schneider, Ken McLachlan, Matt Richling, Johnder Perez, Georges Bardagi, Derek Burleton, Eddie Sheppard and Mary-Anne Gillespie.

Lots of great insights, connections and takeaways. And yes, meeting Jamaal was definitely a highlight!

A little evening outing to Movie in the Park at Williamsburg Community Centre and we even ran into Mayor Berry! Berry Vrbanovic

We may not have stayed for the movie, but we definitely made the most of our quick visit. Always nice seeing familiar faces and our community out enjoying a beautiful evening!

And just like that… our baby girl is off to preschool. 🥹❤️

I don’t know how we got here so fast. It feels like just yesterday she was so tiny, and now she’s starting this whole new chapter.

My heart is so full watching her grow, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little emotional. 🥹

🚨 NO RATE CUT TODAY… SO WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR REAL ESTATE? 🏡

The Bank of Canada has officially held the overnight rate at 2.25%.

While some may have been hoping for another cut, today’s decision was not unexpected. Inflation is still running around 3%, and the Bank says there are increased risks from higher energy prices and ongoing trade uncertainty. (Bank of Canada⁠)

But here’s the important part for real estate 👇

🏡 BUYERS:
Stable rates make it easier to plan and understand your purchasing power. If you’ve been waiting on the sidelines, this could be a good time to start looking at what’s actually available within your budget.

🏠 SELLERS:
Buyer confidence and affordability continue to play a big role in the market. Pricing your home correctly is more important than ever.

💰 CURRENT HOMEOWNERS:
If your mortgage is coming up for renewal, today’s announcement is a good reminder to start planning ahead and speaking with your mortgage professional about your options.

📉 AND THE BIG QUESTION…
Will we see another rate cut later this year?

Nobody knows for certain. The Bank has made it clear that future decisions will depend on how inflation and the economy continue to evolve. The next scheduled rate announcement is October 28, 2026. (Bank of Canada⁠)
