Relocating from Eastern Canada meant that much of their home search happened virtually. We toured so many homes together through FaceTime, and while there were plenty of possibilities, none of them ever felt quite right. Something was always missing.

At the time, we didn’t know why.

Then life changed, and an ailing parent was going to need to live with them. Suddenly, what they needed in a home looked completely different. We had never been searching for an in-law suite, but then this home came along and it was as if everything finally clicked into place.

Looking back, it feels like the universe was making them wait because the home they thought they needed wasn’t actually the home they were going to need. The right one couldn’t show up until their life revealed what “right” was supposed to look like.

This home gives them the chance to be together, while still giving everyone their own space and independence, and I couldn’t be happier for them.
