Love this post! Coming up with ideas of how to titrate connection with our kids when connection feels unsafe can be so tricky. Connection sometimes needs to happen in small doses to build capacity to trust their safe people.
Small doses of connection might look like a note in a lunch box, a family photo on your key chain, or a text to your teen at a random time showing interest in their day.
