Today, BCRS President Dr. Wan Wan Yap, Dr. Roshni Patel, and BCRS CEO Amy Smith met with MLA Brennan Day to discuss the critical radiologist recruitment and retention challenges facing British Columbia, with a particular focus on the impact in rural communities.

Access to timely medical imaging is essential for patient care, and addressing workforce shortages remains a key priority for the BCRS. We appreciate the opportunity to share frontline perspectives and look forward to welcoming MLA Day to the Medical Imaging Department at North Island Hospital to continue the conversation and highlight the realities facing rural imaging services.
