Big exterior transformation for this project where replacing the flat roof to a nice gable end pitch roof was the ultimate goal. The home owners were looking for long lasting low maintenance products. We went with steel roofing over the porch and back room areas along with composite decking and aluminum railing on the decks for very low maintenance products while making the new additons to the house visually appealing.

A beautiful turn out on this Douglas Fir Timber frame poolside cabana with integrated pool house bar & grill. A perfect staycation area to enjoy with family and friends during the beautiful summer months. Another great job done with Cut Once Construction & Fix My Brick. A beautiful Douglas Fir Timber-framed gazebo we did last summer. The customers wanted a cleaner finish on the Fir so every piece was sanded by hand to deliver a truly unique design to this backyard. Shuttered style privacy walls provide great privacy while allowing the breeze to still flow through but they also act as a great sun blind as this back yard is an absolute scorcher in the middle of the summer!! Custom hangers were required on this project to support the massive 8”x12” beams. Sent them off to be primed and powder coated in black and installed with Simpson black 2@1/2” Trulok timber screws. We finished the raw lumber with a clear non-tint oil based stain. Huge shout out to Dan & company The Wood Shed for providing all the beautiful rough cut Douglas Fir, T&G ceiling boards and stain materials. Some awesome composite decks from last year, done with Cut Once Construction. There are many advantages to having a composite deck. 1) Maintenance free, never have to stain/paint 2)The material lasts for decades 3) Completely feet friendly, no more nasty splinters from wood decking!!

There’s nothing like a complete front entrance transformation to make your home feel new again! The existing concrete porch and overhang on this house were both in dire need of replacement. After tearing into the overhang we found a colony of carpenter ants that had caused a great deal of structural damage to the beams & rafters. Along with the ant infestation, there was significant water damage from the flat roof that had failed years ago. We replaced the old dilapidated overhang with a beautiful gable end roof and once the new concrete had been completed, added the new railing required to complete the project. Was different getting used to installing crown moulding an inch and a half down from the ceiling to create this stunning Halo lighting look. The solid doors turned out to be the easiest part of this project! This office turned out mint! With Cut Once Construction
