Great event with Juju Kaji . Going back to the same school, seeing familiar excited faces made the day even more special.

Our copies have reached 60 students in Hekrang. Thank you to Juju Kaji & The Heart Beat organization for providing support to these students. In this particular school along with our school supplies the organization gave out the warm bright sweaters you see the children wearing.

Yesteday we visited two schools in two Dhading villages. These schools are located a few hours drive from Kathmandu but due to the off road terrain in order to get to these schools, very little help had reached them. 165 students in total, 65 in Chandi School & 97 in Shiv Shankar school received supplies bought through our last round of Fundraiser. Each student received 4x copies, 10x pencils, 2x eraser, 1x drawing copy, 1x colouring pencil box, 1x pencil sharper.

Key barriers to enrolment are poverty, social norms and gender bias. No child, let alone a number as big as 770K should be away from an educational institute. Awareness, advocacy and action today is what will bring this number down over the next decade.

Hello everyone, after a long break we are finally back! Thank you for all the support and encouragement throughout the years, we hope to be back with consistent events moving forward.

For our next event in November 2021, we have selected two schools listed below. The total number of students we are hoping to help is 150, these students are mostly from Grade 1-5 . Most of the students come from a poor background and any help will go a long way in keeping them in school while also enhancing their learning experience.

Schools:

1. Shiva Shankhar Aadharbhut Bidhyalaya
2. Chandeshwory Basic School

Both the schools are located in a small village called Thakre, Kewalpur in Dhading District.
We are in contact with the school principal and administration too see what kind of school supplies and materials these students require. With the funds raised we hope to be able to provide school supplies to all the students in both these schools which will last them a full school academic year.

Wow! Over the past few years we have provided essential school supply packages to 400 underprivileged students in Nepal. Most students received packages that would last them a full school year. Our goal this year is to reach more than a 1000 students and we are starting with an event mid next month in Nakdhunga, Kathmandu.

Happy New Year!!

After a long break Rural Nub is back!!! We recently had an amazing event in Shree Bhagh Bhairav Adharbhut School located in a small village called Thakre, Kewalpur in Dhading District.

We had selected this school as its located in a small village where a lot of help hasn’t reached yet.
We had a few calls with the school principal and administration to see what kind of materials the students require. Through numerous generous donars we had raised approximately Rs.35,000 ($400 Canadian Dollars). With that amount we were be able to provide school supplies for more than 120 students and the packages will last them a half academic year. Along with the School Supplies, students of senior years received Textbooks and Guide Books received through the geneours donatation of Nepal’s Readmore Publications. The value of Readmore books were approximately Rs.30,000 ($350 Canadian Dollars) and in total of 110 books were distributed to the students.

Hello everyone, we have finally chosen a school for our next event.

School: Shree Bhagh Bhairav Adharbhut School

The school is located in a small village called Thakre, Kewalpur in Dhading District. We selected this school as its located in a small village where a lot of help hasn’t reached yet.

We are contacting the school principal and administration soo to see what kind of materials the students require. As there are a lot of students who need help we are extending our fundraiser until March 8th and will hold the event in mid March. So far a total of $250 has been raised towards the $500 goal. With a few weeks to go we are sure we will reach the goal. With that amount we will be able to provide school supplies for more than 65 students and the packages will last them a full academic year. RURAL NUB IS BACK!! As some of you might know few years back Rural Nub was founded with the mission to provide underprivileged students of Nepal with an opportunity to learn, helping them pursue their dreams and become leaders in the community. So far the organization has provided school supply packages to approximately 300 students. Most of them either came from rural areas of Nepal or were still living in rural areas and could not afford to buy the necessary supplies. Each package was worth $10CAD which comes to approx. 850 Nepalese Rupees. The individual packages included everything a student would use on a daily basis (Pencils, Pens, 8-9 notebooks, coloring pencils, drawing books, Geometry Box etc) and would last them around a full term.

For the last few years we have tiried to do an event in a different area & school where most of the students belong to underprivileged families. And next week our team in Nepal is planning to do a similar event.

Location: Outisde Kathmandu Valley

The school choice will be made in the next few days and we will be sure to choose and school in a place where the lack of resources is evident.
We have already spoken to a few people in the education field to identify a school and the most underprivileged student in that school. The campaign will run from February 13th to February 19th and the event will be held next week.
