Yes! Evolve OMS accepts patients covered under the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP).

The CDCP provides coverage for a range of essential oral health services that may be provided by an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, including:

🦷 Dental extractions, including wisdom teeth
🔎 Examinations and diagnostic services
🩻 Basic dental X-rays
🧡 Biopsies and removal of oral lesions and cysts
💤 Various forms of sedation, including nitrous oxide, oral sedation, IV sedation and general anesthesia
🦷 Treatment of infections and removal of foreign bodies
🩹 Fracture repairs and post-surgical care

Please note that coverage can vary, and some services may require preauthorization. 3D X-rays/cone-beam CT scans are not covered under the CDCP.

🦷 Will I Be in Pain After Oral Surgery?

It’s one of the most common questions we hear. Some discomfort, swelling and tenderness are normal after oral surgery, but recovery typically gets easier as the days go on.

Here’s a general idea of what you may experience:

📅 DAYS 1–2
Some swelling, tenderness and discomfort are expected. Rest, follow your post-operative instructions and take any recommended medications as directed.

📅 DAYS 3–4
Swelling may still be present, but discomfort should begin to improve. You may start feeling more like yourself as healing continues.

📅 DAYS 5–7
For many patients, swelling and tenderness have significantly decreased and everyday activities become more comfortable.

Every procedure and every patient is different, so your recovery timeline may vary. Your Evolve OMS team will provide specific aftercare instructions and let you know what to expect based on your procedure.
