AppleOne is hiring for a large client in Hamilton that comes from the Steel and Metal industry.

Pay rate- $19 up to 20.45 per hour
Shifts- Days and Afternoons

Job Duties:
• Ensure to follow all safety procedures and protocols, including the use of PPE
• Inspect material for proper rigging techniques and surface preparation for the galvanization process
• Rigging and un-racking steel parts on lifting devices using hooks, chains, and wire
• Handle the customer product efficiently and effectively, lifting only up to 50lbs
• Inspect, clean and repair quality flaws obtained from the galvanizing process utilizing wire brushes, files, and powered grinders
• Packaging customer product with shrink wrap, nylon, or steel banding
• Ensure the safety and cleanliness of their workstations with great housekeeping techniques
• Other duties as required

Job Requirements:
Must be able to work full time Monday to Friday
Must have previous manufacturing experience

Maintenance Electrician
Hamilton, ON
$35-36/hour

Shifts- 3 shift rotation or 12 hour rotating shifts

Responsibilities
• Perform preventative/predictive maintenance to all production equipment as required
• Repair and replace electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic and electronic components such as motors, contractors, relays, timers, types of switches, PLCs, light curtains, motor controls and valves
• Install, examine, replace and repair electronic wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components
• Maintain production equipment to maximize operating performance
• Perform installation, set up, modification and relocation of equipment
• Read/write electrical and electronic schematics/diagrams, basic hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams
• Able to read wiring diagrams, electrical/mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic schematics and ladder/function block logic, you have working knowledge of industrial PCs and PLCs (Siemens Step 7, Beckhoff TwinCat, etc.) and electric circuitry consisting of contractors, relays, main voltage/control voltage, limit switches and proximity sensors

Qualifications
• Certified Ontario electrician (442 A/309A or inter-provincial license)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment – troubleshooting, repairs, installations, preventative maintenance of electrical, mechanical, automated systems, robots, plc systems, servo drives, motion control, HMI interfaces, sensors, relays
• Solid computer skills: MS Office, CMMS is an asset
• Ability to work positively in a cross-functional team
• Adhere to health and safety protocols
