This one is great for firing up the core, improving your torso turn and creating separation between the upper and lower body.

You can start without holding anything and then as you feel more comfortable you can add light resistance of a medicine ball or dumbbell. 🏌️‍♂️💥

This exercise is a great way to get those hips moving independent of your torso. Use it as an exercise in your workout or a warm up before your golf game. Do Chubbs proud!

Are you SMART about your fitness goals.

I talk to a lot of people who say they want to get in better shape/get fitter/get healthy. But when I ask them what that means they get a puzzled look on their face. They haven’t taken the first step in creating SMART goals.

Getting Specific about what it means for you to be fitter is the first step in setting SMART goals.
What does getting fitter mean to you?
✳️Better endurance?
✳️More strength?
✳️Losing 15 pounds of body fat?
✳️Being able to get down on the ground and play with your grandkids?

Ask yourself that question, what does it mean for me to get in better shape or be healthier. By answering this first you are on your way to setting SMART goals and setting yourself up for success.

This is a great exercise to work on the quality of your squat and thoracic spine rotation.

If you can’t get all the way down, no problem. Perform this exercise consistently and you’ll start to notice gradual improvements and your knees and low back will thank you.

A lack of thoracic spine extension can affect your ability to rotate in your swing. It can also cause problems in your lower back if you go searching for mobility there.

If you sit at a computer most of the day then you are probably losing thoracic extension and should give this mobilization a try. 👨‍💻

Don’t forget the lats attach to the pelvis and lower back. So those tight lats could be contributing to the low back pain or discomfort you experience after your golf game.

Do you want to sleep better? Better sleep can improve your waistline and also your health.

Try creating a relaxing routine that helps you get to sleep.

-Go to bed at the same time each night.
-Avoid devices (phone, tv, computer) 1 - 2 hours before bed.
-Have a stress management routine, such as meditation or journaling, to clear your mind before bed.
