If you're a Ward 4 resident, this is an opportunity to meet the candidates running to represent the ward and hear them respond to questions about issues that matter to the community.

Across BGC Hamilton-Halton, our staff and members took time to learn, reflect and connect through meaningful, age-appropriate activities and conversations about Truth and Reconciliation, Orange Shirt Day, and Indigenous cultures and traditions.

At the Sanford EarlyON Centre, families came together during circle time to read Phyllis’s Orange Shirt and talk about the importance of remembering and honouring Indigenous children and families. Children and families also worked together on a collaborative mural featuring Indigenous-inspired symbols and the message “Every Child Matters.” 🧡

Through stories, art, cooking and conversation, families explored learning and reflection together. Other BGC programs also participated in activities that created opportunities to learn about Indigenous culture, listen, ask questions and build understanding.

We’re grateful to our staff, children, families and program participants for approaching these activities with curiosity, respect and care.
