Nicole Bade receives a Red Cross Rescuers Award from Ashley Kelly President of Medical First Response the company where Bade received her training last fall. Heather Lindey, left, is an advanced emergency care instructor and the instructor who trained Bade. Lindey says she has had other students who have gone on to use their training but says she always hopes they will never need to. Bade saved the life of a 70-year-old man who was riding on the same bus as her last Monday. The man had a series of seizures. Bade got out of her wheelchair and performed CPR on the man. First responders on the scene credit her for saving his life.
