Pride Hamilton

Today we hold space for the Indigenous children their families and communities harmed by residential schools. We ask that you remember the children who never made it home. We ask that you extend compassion to the ones fortunate enough to see their families and communities again, which also includes not only hearing their stories but listening. Harm was done to tens of thousands of people here on this land. It is part of this nation's history. When saying, "Every Child Matters", believe it everyday, not just on September 30. We can show up for each other by educating ourselves & reflecting, showing up respectfully, and if you can afford to, donate to official causes supporting Indigenous communities.

Mental health is health. Su***de impacts millions of people around the globe. Our healthcare and housing systems needs a massive overhaul so that folks aren't left behind. Statistics show that our community is immensely impacted by addictions, homelessness, trauma, violence, harm, bullying and harassment at high rates. Our love, our lives, our bodies are all valid. If you know someone that is suffering, our website has links to supports. If you know local supports, please let us know so that we can direct folks to their services.
We are stronger together than we are apart.
