Our SOS team has created a short introduction for you!

SOS firstly just started with one campus but eventually became a nationally registered charity.

We have been helping third world countries’ students with global education NGOs through charity funds. Today, we are pursuing to help students not only the education facilities, but also the quality of learning happening within classrooms.

SOS team will keep expanding the chapter goals and help third world countries until students get proper education.

Hi! My name is Amber and I’m in my second year of the Biology Research program. ‼️ Meet our Co-Presidents for the 2022-2023 McMaster Chapter of Students Offering Support - Jason and Meirah!!! ‼️

Jason: Hey everyone, my name is Jason and I am one of the co-president of McMaster SOS this year. I am currently in my 5th year of the Biomedical Discovery and Commercialization (BDC) program. The reason that motivated me to join SOS in the first place was because I believe that everyone has the potential to achieve success academically given sufficient resources. I also deeply agree with SOS’ vision to build a future in that all youth have the academic and community supports to unleash their leadership and ingenuity. Joining SOS allows me to reach out to the local students who are struggling in school, and provide them with the support they need.

Meirah: I joined SOS because I believe in the organization’s mission. By holding exam-aid sessions, we can provide students with the support they need to prepare for their exams, while also raising funds to support Guatemalan youth. It’s an incredible initiative, it seeks to promote educational equality and equity, on a local and global scale.
