As Staff Appreciation Week comes to a close at Thrive Group, we want to say a huge thank you to our incredible staff. This week was a celebration, but the truth is that all of their hard work, kindness, compassion, care and dedication is what make this team special every single day.

Thank you to the staff, volunteers, caregivers, and community partners who help people stay connected to their communities and the lives they’ve built there.

A look back at some of the fun we had as summer came to an end at Mistywood! ☀️💚

Clients from Mistywood headed to Niagara Falls for their annual summer trip, where they enjoyed a day of bowling, shopping, and taking in the sights.

Back at Mistywood, clients from Helen Homes and Queenston joined us for a fun afternoon with some very special guests at our petting zoo. 🐐 It was a great opportunity to spend time together and enjoy a new experience.

We also said farewell to summer at Queenston Heights, where we took the time to celebrate our CSJ student and thank her for all she brought to the team and to our clients. While we’ll miss having her with us, we’re so happy she’ll be staying on as a volunteer! 💚

So many great memories to look back on. Here’s to a wonderful summer!

Today, we recognize the National Day of Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, Two-Spirit and gender-diverse people. 🧡

This is a time to remember those who have been lost, honour the families and communities who continue to carry their stories, and recognize the ongoing work to create safer communities.

We’re grateful for the perspectives and memories that older adults bring with them, and for the staff who help create opportunities to keep those moments going.
