Being a mom while juggling a full-time career and trying to maintain a relationship and friendships is hard enough for anyone to manage when they are new to , but throw in finding barn time and meeting (or reassessing) your riding goals before/during/after pregnancy is a real doozy! 🤪 Happy Mother’s Day to everyone out there who’s picking up what I’m putting down. 😅🥵🥰 If you need a little support, tune into Noëlle Floyd’s award winning podcast with host, Caroline Culbertson and look for Episode 6, “Birth, Body Image & the Unknown: Being a Pregnant Rider” and Episode 7, “Expectation vs Reality: What New Parenthood as an Equestrian Is Really Like”. Being a horse mom and a mom to this horse-loving girl (thank god!) is my favorite thing in the world, but I’m always grateful to hear how others navigate it and find balance.

In expert farrier, Rich Affonso’s new , he explains 10 problems that horses commonly get, including clubbed feet, bowed tendons, white line disease, hoof abscesses and more.

I was particularly interested in learning more about desirable angles for horses with bowed tendons when they are at various stages of recovery and then back to full work, but it was only briefly touched on. (However, Rich goes more in-depth on hoof angles and more in his OTHER Noelle Floyd MasterClass, “Understanding Hoof Angle.” In this course, Rich starts by teaching you all about hoof angle, hoof alignment, balance and why it is so important.)

I recommend checking out all of Rich’s content on ! I know most Pony Club branches are focusing on education right now and I can’t recommend enough!
