“THE BRiDGE”🇨🇦 Recap - Lost over $1000 so pls read😂

The Bridge is an idea I had earlier this year. The first time I went to LA was in June for a .ca songwriting camp. All the Canadians were staying in an Airbnb, and .ca rented some speakers so we could finish songs we didn’t get to finish at the studio.

We were so eager to create that we started making music right in the crib — and magic happened in that living room. We produced, recorded, and filmed all within the same 24 hours. Those moments were some of the best of my life, and they made me realize how powerful collaboration really is.

As Canadians🇨🇦, the odds are stacked against us. It’s more efficient, cheaper when we move together, and the content that comes out of it is gold. That’s where THE BRiDGE comes in — the idea of lowering the barrier of entry for Canadian artists while connecting us with the rest of the world, starting with LA.

The purpose is simple: help Canadian artists break into international markets and build real global connections. The Bridge is invite-only — that’s how we keep the energy right and curate a real vibe.

This is not a company — everyone chipped in for the place, equipment, food, and transport. It’s us pooling our resources, moving together, so we can win together.

It’s not a non-profit organization, but it is not-for-profit — all funded out of pocket by me and my collaborators. Hence our losses. The goal isn’t to profit off the artists, but off the art that comes from it.It’s for the community, to fuel collaboration, competition, and culture. There’s no reason Canadians can’t compete globally. We’re just as good — if not better — we just lack the infrastructure. I’m trying to change that.

Big thank you to .di.adaora and for partnering with me and bringing all the LA-based artists together to make this happen. This was only the first one — and I already know what to do better next time. Bigger and better 😈
