Heritage buildings aren’t just about preservation—they’re about evolution.

Our work with Sidewalk Real Estate Development and Upland Planning + Design Studio, to restore United Memorial Church—one of Canada’s most endangered heritage properties—is a balancing act between memory and modernity.

The economics require height. The community requires care. And the building itself requires imagination.

We’re threading a needle to build within the historic church, not just beside it. It’s risky, complex, and deeply meaningful. Because once these buildings are gone, they’re gone for good.
