When I worked here with David the Chinese cobbler, he would often lament about how his was a dying trade. I would counter that mine is as well, despite it being a brand new one, and corporate shenanigans like this are the reason why.

Apple will screw up your camera in your iPhone 12 and later models if you get an unauthorized repair. Not disable it. Just screw with it enough to make it not worth taking to independent repair shops.

But at least they don't include a charging cable because, you know, they're saving the environment.

And don't even get me started on what they're doing to MacBooks. Apple users are the tip of the spear in the throw-away tech culture. Remember that as you consume.
