A Winter Teaching ❄️🌚

Humans are a part of nature, not separate from it. In winter, we see that nature is resting. The land grows quiet. The animals slow down. The snow covers the earth in white, reminding us of a reset and a new beginning.

Because we are one with nature it’s important to practice as nature does. Winter is a time to turn inward. A time to reflect, to mend what needs mending, and to replenish our minds and bodies.

It is also a time for dreaming.
Because the days are shorter and nights are longer, we are closer to the universe. In rest, we dream of our relatives, our family members, and our ancestors.

These dreams are not random 🤍
They are teachings. Through dreaming and resting, we are guided to understand our responsibilities, our roles, and the path we are meant to walk.

Winter reminds us that rest is medicine. Slowing down allows us to listen, to receive, and to prepare for the light as the days begin to grow longer again.

May this teaching bring you gentleness and understanding in this season.
