This video is a great example of why I got into Canine Behaviour! Most people see this 30sec clip and summarize it as a pack of aggressive dogs.

When I seen the original for the first time I watched it over and over again because there is so much communication present. Great examples of body language, eye contact, and hierarchy in just one clip. Just a great example of why I love what I do, and love teaching people how to communicate with there dogs!

This is a video that HUNDREDS of you have sent me asking for my review and to give my thoughts/breakdown of what is going on here. It's only a 24 second video but my review is 12 mins long because I think it's a great video to break down dog psychology, behavior, body language, and energy. Many dog trainers, vet behaviorists, self-proclaimed "experts," and dog professionals in general don't have much experience with the working with groups of dogs. 15 years ago, I started walking packs of 10-15 dogs that consisted of powerful dogs who had some serious issues. I proceeded to care for many of these dogs in group settings where I learned a TON about pack dynamics between unrelated dogs. I learned through hands-on experience, getting bitten myself, dogs having conflict, etc. I learned how important leadership and order is to them and how to fulfill that position as a human who is obviously not the same species as them. I've been to places like Puerto Rico 🇵🇷, and observed rescue dogs where over 700 dogs were living together with minimal human intervention. I'm not saying any of this for ego or claiming to be an expert, I'm just sharing my opinion on this video based on my experience over 15 years. What did you think of my assessment of this video? During me and Triggers walk today we found a perfect spot to practice our “watching the world” skills. If you have been in either mine or Kianna class you have probably heard us talking about this! Here we practiced calm behavior while watching people, dogs, and cars go by. Such a simple thing to do and it makes a huge impact on your dog’s ability to cope with stressers!

Puppy class will provide you with an opportunity to build a solid foundation of skills based on positive humane training! Puppy skills such as attention, recall, walking politely, and self-control are covered. Additional topics covered include common puppy challenges such as mouthing, jumping, and house training. Another benefit of puppy class that it is a fantastic opportunity for socialization! The goal of class is to help you provide your puppy with several positive and intentional socialization experiences (people, animals, handling/care, different surfaces & sounds, and environments)

Me and Trigger are having a blast taking part in class at Creating Connections! It is so nice to be able to sit in a class and feel so comfortable and welcomed🐾💕

Tonight Trigger was practicing his sit inside a hula hoop! 🎯 By adding props or changing environments, we help dogs learn to focus and respond to cues no matter where they are.

This type of practice builds confidence, strengthens their understanding of cues, and prepares them for real-world situations. 🐾
