Our Q2 2026 Town Hall is behind us—and with it, a well-deserved moment of recognition for one of our own.

We're pleased to present the Q2 Duct Tape Award to William A., our Junior Timber Frame Designer. William has taken ownership of the estimating process within the design team and refined it to establish a new, higher standard. His consistent and professional presentation of pricing drawings has made a noticeable impression, generating positive client feedback and raising the bar for how we present our work.

This barn in Pemberton, BC, sits right where it belongs.

Brown-red timber tones break through the surrounding green, with the mountains in the backdrop. From the outside, this barndominium looks like it grew out of the valley floor.

The layout features a ground-floor workshop, horse stable, mud room, and 2,160 sq. ft. of living space upstairs.

In collaboration with the home owners, our partners at Hayward & Co. set out to make the most of a lakefront setting while keeping it grounded in everyday living. Floor-to-ceiling windows draw the water in, open balconies extend the living space outdoors, and a screened treehouse porch gives the family a retreat of its own.

Built from our Split Rock Place floor plan, the home features a full structural timber frame and complete enclosure package: prefinished 2x8 T&G decking, a 2x6 exterior open-wall system, roof system, and western red cedar fascia and trim.
