As much as I love skin, I love the people more.

There's a version of this job where I just talk about actives and treatment plans all day. But most days, that's not really what it feels like from my side of the chair.

It feels like getting let in. Someone tells me what they see when they look in the mirror, what they're hoping changes, sometimes things they haven't said out loud anywhere else. I don't take that lightly, and honestly, it's the part of this work that fills me up the most - not the results, as much as I love those too.

I've gotten to do this with people through every season of their life - watched them grow up, get married, raise their own kids, come in unsure and come in glowing. Getting to be trusted with that, over and over, is not something I take for granted.
