A big THANK YOU to Loblaw Companies Limited for supporting local food banks this spring! Corporate and franchise stores together raised just over $850,000 and an estimated 797,607 pounds of food for food banks across Canada.

Special thanks to Real Canadian Superstore who raised $1360.00 for GBB! Your generosity helps nourish our neighbours in need.🍅🫛🥦🍎

On Friday, representatives of the Kerr Street Mission paid us a visit at Georgetown Bread Basket. We exchanged information about our programs and ways of working. So nice to interact with other agency affiliates of Feed Halton to get new ideas on how to carry out our work!🍎🥕🥦

Summer is one of the slowest times for food donations, but while contributions decline, the need does not. Across Halton, community food agencies continue to support families facing food insecurity every day.

Hunger Doesn’t Take A Break is a community-wide initiative supporting local food banks, meal programs, and neighbours in need across Halton.

You can help by donating food, funds, or supporting a food organization near you from May 11 to June 12. Every contribution helps keep shelves stocked and meals available for individuals and families in our community.
