A new Season begins with the promise of community engagement, speaker series, interest groups and laughter galore. Join us for a pre-view of the 2026-27 Season in the Studio Room of the HHPL Tuesday, September 8th at 7 pm. If you are not already a member, it is a chance to see what we are all about.

CFUW Georgetown members helped organize a charity Walk in support of Halton Women's Place starting at our popular Saturday morning Farmers' Market and attracting community participants and several local municipal representatives.

CFUW Georgetown extends warm congratulations to our 2026 Scholarship recipient, Ciara Gallant, a both academically and athletically distinguished and community active graduate of Acton District High School. We wish her all the best as she starts her post-secondary focus on a human rights BA with an LLB at the University of Sussex through Wilfred Laurier University this fall.

We wish her all the best as she starts her post-secondary adventure in Political Science at McMaster University in the fall.

We wish her all the best as she starts her post-secondary adventure in Psychology and NCAA soccer at Niagara University, NY.

CFUW Georgetown extends warm congratulations to our 2026 Scholarship recipient, Amanda Weisbrot, an academically distinguished and community active graduate of Christ the King Secondary School in the AP Program. We wish her all the best as she starts her post-secondary adventure in Biology at the University of Western Ontario with ambitions to study medicine.

CFUW Georgetown's Just4Fun Interest Group gathered to explore the current trend of mocktails while reminiscing about the "dark age" of cocktails of the 70's. Our gracious host provided typical fare from back then. We donned items from that past and challenged each other to identify photos of our 70's selves. Sadly, harder than anticipated.

We wish her all the best as she starts her post-secondary adventure in Concurrent Education at Brock University at the Intermediate Senior Level to become a high school French teacher.
