Session 2 in a black dye removal process ✨

When this client came in , she was starting with black permanent colour and wanting to do what she could to lighten it back up closer to her natural tone.

She left her first appointment with a reddish brown tone and on her second appointment she left with a more even and natural looking colour - very similar to her natural hair colour !

Going from dark to light is a process and usually requires more than one session because we care about the integrity of your hair

You might have heard of girl grip (the ability to carry numerous items in hand - we’ve had to adapt due to the lack of appropriate sized pockets 🙋‍♀️) but have you heard of hairstylist grip ? ✂️⭐️

Did someone say… colour correction 📣

What is a colour correction? 🤔

At its core : a service used to fix or completely change uneven, faded, or unwanted hair color. It often requires multiple steps, such as using bleach to lift dark spots, applying toners to cancel out brassiness, or using “fillers” to prepare damaged hair for a new, even shade

Why would someone need a colour correction?

Box dye mistakes: At-home dyes that turn out too dark, patchy, or an unexpected shade.

Brassy tones: Bleached hair that ends up bright orange or yellow.

Banding: Rings or stripes of different colors on the hair shaft caused by overlapping old dyes or improper bleaching.

Major transformations: Drastically changing from very dark hair to platinum blonde, or vice versa

In this case : we had our client starting out with black box dye ➡️ wanting to go lighter - (as close to her natural tone as she could )

Why would you get extensions:
✨Length and Volume - let’s be real , some of us just don’t have the ability to grow long and thick hair (blame genetics) and that’s okay! But it doesn’t stop us from wanting it , length and volume / thickness is the #1 reason someone gets extensions but it’s not the only one

✨ Colour without chemical damage- extensions are a great way to add colour or experiment without having to permanently chemically alter one’s hair

✨Concealing thinning - add density to your hair in sparse areas of the head with methods like ktips/fusions

✨Styling - extensions are often used to enhance styling at events like prom or weddings

There are many reasons to get extensions and just as many methods!
