A job site isn’t always about running to finish the job, a job site doubles as a classroom.
The young bloods coming up in this trade don’t need to be barked at , they need direction, context, and purpose. They need to understand why we do things a certain way, not just how. Mistakes are part of the process. Growth comes from:
trying,
missing,
adjusting,
and doing it again with better intention.
As leaders in the trade, it’s on us to create space for that evolution.
⚡️Teach them to take pride in clean work.
⚡️Teach them to slow down when precision matters.
⚡️Teach them that discipline beats speed every time.
And just as important — teach them that flaws aren’t failures if you’re honest, accountable, and committed to improving.
Here’s the truth most people don’t say out loud: even the master electrician is still learning. Codes change. Methods evolve. Every job presents a new problem to solve. The difference is experience teaches you how to think, not just what to do.
