The Gander Ride for Dad has a new route for our Ride/Poker Run this year and many people have been asking for details. So here they are!

Saturday, June 28th, 2025

Route:
- Gander Masonic Hall - Registration 9:00 am. Kickstands up - 10:00 am sharp!
- Angie's Restaurant, Victoria Cove - Coffee
- Treats from the Sea, Lewisporte - Lunch Stop (With Free Mussels!)
- Moosehead Lounge and Restaurant, Glenwood
- Gander Masonic Hall - End of ride / Refreshments

For those who want to participate in the Poker portion of the ride; you will draw a card at each location. Final card draw and announcement of the winners will be at the Masonic Hall.

A quick stop in to New-Wes-Valley to visit the wharf where the fishermen will be returning later today. Happy day today!

Only a few days out! Here is the route and estimated time of arrival at each location.

Registration runs from 8am - 9am. There will be coffee available upon arrival at the Masonic Lodge, 10 Lindbergh rd.

Kick Stands up - 9:15am

Arrive at Esso in Gambo - 9:45am
Depart Esso in Gambo - 10am

Arrive at Amy’s Place in Pound Cove (lunch) - 11:30am
Depart Amy’s Place in Pound Cove - 1pm

Arrive at Esso in Gander Bay South - 2:15pm
Depart Esso in Gander Bay South - 2:30pm

Arrive back to Masonic Lodge - 3pm
Post ride coffee, drinks, snacks, and prizes - 3pm

Established in 2018, the Gander Motorcycle Ride for Dad has raised over $25,000 dollars for the fight against prostate cancer. The proceeds from our annual events are invested in ground-breaking prostate cancer research and life-saving public awareness campaigns of the disease and the importance of early detection.

Every year, thousands of participants, supporters, and friends raise funds for Ride For Dad initiatives held in communities from coast to coast to coast across Canada.

Proceeds are received by its charity, the Prostate Cancer Fight Foundation. To date Ride For Dad has raised over $40 million with all proceeds going to the Prostate Cancer Fight Foundation.

Did you know.. Prostate cancer is the third leading cause of death from cancer in men in Canada. One out of every seven men will be diagnosed with this disease. But prostate cancer can almost always be successfully treated if it’s detected early.
