Just about wrapped up my first C6 build. Couple mild mods for this street/strip setup, 5/4/4 clutch packs, R servo, drilled holes for increased oil flow in the high/reverse drum. Just need to set the endplay, then reinstall the valvebody that was set up with the stage 2 kit from transgo when I first started racing the 79 ford.
Little tune up, set baseline for timing and carb. Oil warms up quick due to cemented block. Might consider an oil cooler for longer races.
Hot valve lash was right where I anticipated, pretty big win for first timer on aluminum heads. 👍

Oil primed up, oil to every rocker this time.🙄
Time to double check lash settings, install covers and distributor, start prepping for the test fire! 🤞🤞
Ford C6 gear train rollerized vs stock. Little stronger (though the c6 isn't lacking there) and supposed to be a little less horsepower hungry.
Updating 60 yr old technology to 40 year old technology. 😄
