Kane is a handsome 1.5-year-old sheepadoodle who will soon be looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home.

✨ Age: 1.5yo
✨ Approx. 60 lbs
✨ Curly, low-shedding coat

Kane is being surrendered due to unforeseen family circumstances, including major surgeries and a move from a house into an apartment. This difficult decision is being made out of love and a desire to give Kane the life he deserves.

Kane is a sweet, friendly boy who gets along well with people, dogs, and cats. He has experience living with children 5 years and older and has a gentle, loving nature.

✅ Crate trained (his crate is his safe space)
✅ Knows basic commands
✅ Friendly with dogs, cats, and people
✅ Enjoys walks and outdoor adventures

Like many dogs, Kane can be sensitive to loud noises and isn’t a fan of garbage or recycling trucks. With patience, support, and confidence-building, we know he’ll continue to thrive.

We’re currently looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home to help Kane land softly while we get to know him better.

Foster Update: Bernie

Bernie had her vet check today and was an absolute superstar!

Her vaccinations are now up to date and she has been microchipped. The vet was very impressed with her calm and gentle nature. She simply laid there and let the vet do whatever was needed, not even flinching when it was time for her vaccinations.

She is scheduled for her spay surgery in four weeks.

For now, it’s all about decompression, settling into her new routine, and getting to know her foster family. We’re looking forward to watching her confidence grow and seeing her personality continue to shine.

Welcome Bernie to DRY!

A huge thank you to Chris for safely driving Bernie all the way from Grande Prairie to Edmonton.

Thank you to Bernie’s owner for making the incredibly difficult decision to do what is best for her and for trusting DRY to help find her a loving and supportive home.

And thank you to her foster family for opening their home and hearts to help Bernie land softly in a safe, caring, and loving environment as she begins this next chapter.

It truly takes a village to make rescues like this possible, and we couldn’t do it without the support of our volunteers, fosters, adopters, donors, and community.

Foster update:
Sweet boy Melo has come such a long way and we’re seeing more of his gentle side every day. He’s looking for a patient, understanding home that will respect his space, go slow while he builds trust, and support him with calm routines. Melo loves treats and enjoys affection on his terms — when he’s ready, he’ll come over to ask for pets.

And look at him enjoying his pup cup on his day out with one of our amazing volunteers.

Melo may be 8, but he’s healthy and still has so much life in him — are you his furever home?

Adoptive family update: Bear!

Handsome Bear is doing so well in his forever home with his doodle brother, Beau. It makes us so happy to see him settled, loved, and enjoying his new life.

We’re always grateful to receive updates on our dogs and see them thriving after adoption.

Welcome Confetti to DRY Care!

Confetti is a tiny sweetheart with a huge capacity for love. This affectionate little girl absolutely adores cuddles and has a special way of wrapping both her front legs around you for a hug that melts hearts instantly. She is incredibly loving, gentle, and enjoys being close to her people.

Confetti is a special little girl who is sure to win over everyone she meets with her affectionate personality and endless cuddles.

Foster Update: Lilly

Lilly has settled into her foster-to-adopt home so well and is doing amazing. She’s becoming more comfortable and confident every day.

Next big step for this sweet girl — she’s getting ready for her spay surgery on Monday. Wishing Lilly a smooth surgery and speedy recovery
