Winter 2025 Newsletter Take a look at what has been going on at Recovery Acres these last few months of 2025!

We are ready for some spooky fun!
During our Friday morning programming, we had our clients carve some pumpkins to decorate our front steps, all for a chance to win some prizes! Be on the lookout for some spooktacular jack-o-lanterns!

Fun Park, Fun Park, Fun Park!
This morning, we were able to bring our clients out to the Southside Fun Park which holds a trampoline park, laser tag, ninja course, and a foam pit! We are so glad that we are able to bring our clients out every now and again to big outings like this, and we’re even more glad that the guys loved it as much as they did! Please enjoy the pictures and videos we were able to snag while the clients were on the go!

Every August 31 is International Overdose Awareness Day, and we spent the evening out at Victoria Park to help bring awareness, educate, and to remember those that were lost to overdose. Staff and clients from both Recovery Acres Treatment and Supported Housing came down to attend Edmonton’s Overdose Awareness event.

Here at Recovery Acres, we try to get our clients out of their comfort zones and to explore what else is out there, hoping to provide them with opportunities of finding new hobbies and build on skills they would like hone in on. For our Teamwork week, we brought our clients out to Vertically Inclined where they had some fun rock climbing and engaging in different team building exercises, and I would say they enjoyed themselves!
