Scripture gives us a richer picture of work than simply “work harder.” Proverbs commends diligence without making productivity or wealth ultimate. Genesis shows work as a good gift, and Ephesians reminds us that good work flows from our identity in Christ.
Laziness rarely announces itself. Proverbs pictures a neglected field where small choices pile up until the damage becomes obvious. Wisdom calls us to faithful diligence in the ordinary things in front of us.

Work is a gift from God. But pride, fear, and the pursuit of more can change the way we approach it. This week’s message from Proverbs 10:4-5 explores how a secure identity in Jesus frees us to work wholeheartedly.

Wisdom doesn’t ask, “How close can I get?”

Proverbs 5 gives us more than a warning about s*xual temptation. It teaches us to create distance from sin, cultivate faithful delight and recognize where disordered desire eventually leads.
And when we fail, the answer isn’t hiding—it’s returning to Jesus, who offers living water and grace.
Biblical faithfulness is more than avoiding what’s wrong. Proverbs calls married people to cultivate delight, gratitude and affection rather than feeding discontent.
What are you intentionally cultivating instead of discontent?

How should Christians deal with temptation? Sometimes wisdom isn’t becoming better at resisting temptation—it’s refusing to keep temptation within reach.

God wants husbands and wives to delight in one another. That joy is worth cultivating and protecting. Proverbs 5 speaks honestly about marriage, temptation, and faithfulness, and points us to the Saviour who offers forgiveness and living water.

Trusting God doesn’t mean the path will always be easy. But we can look to the cross and know that the one leading us loves us. In Proverbs 3:1-12, we’re invited to release our grip on control and trust the Lord with every part of life.
