A complimentary open house gin tasting and cocktail experience featuring three Duellum Gin expressions.
Join us for an open house style tasting and cocktail experience featuring Duellum Gin, a Mexican gin brand inspired by curiosity, contrast, and conversation.
Rooted in a family tradition of comparing flavours and sharing perspectives around the table, Duellum embraces the idea that great experiences are built through discovery. This philosophy comes to life through three distinctive gin expressions, each crafted with its own personality and style.
Throughout the event, guests will have the opportunity to taste all three gins while exploring how subtle differences in botanicals, balance, and flavour can completely transform a cocktail. Alongside guided tastings, we’ll also be showcasing cocktail making techniques and serving inspired gin cocktails designed to highlight the unique character of each expression.
Whether you’re a longtime gin lover or simply curious to try something new, this open house invites you to sip, experiment, and enjoy the art of contrast in a relaxed and social setting.

Just a few minutes away from us on 124th Street (that makes us neighbours right??), have been making some of YEG’s most adventurous beer since 2021.
Co-owner Wafa Veljee has been at the centre of building not just the brewery but the community around it. Whether it’s through hosting Hop Forward Society meetings, Pint of Science talks, monthly comedy nights, live music, countless brewery collaborations and more, Irrational’s taproom on 124th has become a genuine gathering place. Wafa herself puts it plainly: “it’s less of a strategy and more of a value system.”
That same spirit shows up in the beer. Masala Dreams, their chai porter, started as a collaboration between her Canadian-American husband and her Canadian-Pakistani dad. As Wafa says, “the things we love at home often find their way into the brewery.”
Since that first day we received their Karoshi Mango Sencha Rice Lager, we’ve seen Wafa and Irrational building something with meaning, one release at a time. That’s the kind of work we’re happy to celebrate every day!
Have you made it to their taproom yet? Tell us your all-time favourite Irrational release below 👇

She studied law. She worked in Noh theatre. At 33, the economy collapsed and she came home to her family’s sake brewery in Akitsu, Hiroshima.
She had no formal brewing training. The brewery was struggling. And the rice variety her region was once famous for had been extinct for over a century.
So she brought it back. 13 years. One rice variety. From a handful of seeds in a seed bank to the only brewery in the world producing it.
Meet Miho Imada — president and tōji of Imada Shuzo, one of the only women in Japan to hold both roles simultaneously, and one of the most important figures in sake today. In 2020, the BBC named her among the world’s 100 most inspiring and influential women.
The Fukuchō name — meaning “Forever Fortune” — was given to the brewery in 1868. Miho-san is still earning it.
Swipe to explore three bottles from her lineup, now available at Sherbrooke. 📍

Nobody in Dublin is drinking green beer on St. Patrick’s Day.
They’re drinking stouts. Red ales. Single Pot Still whiskey. And if they’re feeling fancy — a Tipperary cocktail. You know, actual Irish drinks.
This week on Thirsty Thursday we’re celebrating St. Patrick’s Day the real way. Powers Three Swallow, Smithwick’s Red Ale, Guinness Draught, and a cocktail recipe worth stealing.
Catch us on The Jason Gregor Show — Sports 1440. And if you want the full story (including some genuinely wild St. Patrick’s history and the secret behind the two-door Irish pub), the first ever Sherbrooke Sherblog is live on our site. Link in bio.
