Police asking for assistance in continued search for missing man: The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) continues to search for 31-year-old Caleb Peretic, who was last seen on Sunday, May 31, 2026.

Investigators are now asking anyone with trail cameras or security cameras in the area west of Ray Gibbons Drive and LeClaire Way, as well as any wildlife or animal enthusiasts with cameras in Lois Hole Provincial Park, to contact police immediately.

Caleb has not yet been located, and police continue to search the area of his last known location in hopes of finding him.

Caleb is 5’9” tall with light brown hair, and hazel eyes. He has a clock tattoo on his right forearm and a flame tattoo on his right tricep.

Caleb’s disappearance is considered out of character, and family and police have concerns for his well-being. Anyone who sees evidence of Caleb on their security footage or who has information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone. Police are also asking people who live in the areas identified to share this post to their community pages.

As we remember Constable Daniel Woodall on the anniversary of his death, we also celebrate the legacy he continues to inspire.

Last week, students and staff from St. Nicholas Soccer Academy, and EPS members, came together for the 11th Annual Woodall Cup to enjoy a fun day of soccer and friendship.

Dan loved the game and believed in its power to unite people. Through this tradition, we honour his memory by celebrating the values he lived every day: respect, teamwork, and community spirit.

Cheers to all the players, volunteers, community supporters, and this year's sponsors for helping to keep Dan's legacy alive through the game he loved!

Police arrest three in cross-provincial gym locker break-in series 06/08/2026

Police arrest three in cross-provincial gym locker break-in series: The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) has laid charges against two men and a woman in a coordinated series of thefts of credit cards from fitness facility locker rooms.

In March 2026, police began investigating a fraud after it was reported that several credit cards had been stolen during a locker break-in at a fitness facility located in northeast Edmonton, immediately followed by the use of the stolen cards to make purchases at nearby businesses.

Through the course of the investigation, police determined that three suspects were working in concert, with two suspects allegedly carrying out the locker break-ins, then handing off the stolen credit cards to the third person to make the fraudulent purchases. These three individuals were linked to at least 18 separate occurrences at fitness facilities throughout Edmonton, as well as several in Ontario and Manitoba.

In April 2026, Livia Cozma, 41, Orlando-Constantin Vaduva, 52, and Bogdan Todica, 40 were arrested in Winnipeg, MB. They are now facing a combined total of 59 charges, including multiple counts of theft of credit card, fraud under $5,000 and theft under $5,000.

The total value of the fraudulent purchases in Edmonton alone is estimated to be more than $25,000.

“The EPS would like to thank the Halton Regional Police Service, the Winnipeg Police Service and the Canada Border Services Agency for their assistance in this investigation,” says Cst. Binoy Prabhu, with the EPS Virtual Investigation Unit. “This investigation illustrates our ever-increasing capacity to work across provincial boundaries to locate and charge those who attempt to travel to other jurisdictions to evade local police and continue criminal activity elsewhere.”

On Canadian Armed Forces Day, we honour Edmonton Police officers who have served in Canada’s military, defending the values and freedoms we hold dear.

Officers like Constable William Nixon and Constable Alex Decoteau, who fought in the First World War. Or Sergeant Val Vallevand who was only 17 when he joined the Canadian Army during the Second World War. Or the countless members who have served over the decades, at home and abroad.

We are proud of them and owe them a debt of gratitude. After serving their country, they chose to continue that commitment as members of the EPS.

Past and present, we salute them.
