We won another award! A civic urban design award.
The Edmonton Arts Council and Red Knot Studio were awarded an award of excellence for “A Mischief of Could-Be(s) & UGO” in the Urban Fragments category.

National recognition for our work in public art.
Red Knot Studio’s A Mischief of Could Be(s) and UGO were created for the City of Edmonton through the Edmonton Arts Council have been honoured with the Creative City Impact Award for Legacy Public Art.

Presented by , this award celebrates visionary leadership by a Canadian municipality that supported a process and program resulting in a lasting, impactful public art project.

We’re deeply proud that these works, rooted in imagination and play, continue to contribute to Edmonton’s cultural landscape.

Gratitude to for their trust and collaboration, and to our peers across Canada who continue to champion thoughtful, community-driven art in the public realm.

Mittens, flip-flops, or umbrellas, people keep coming back to explore and play. These kid friendly sculptures are a hit in every season!

Oh that Indy lady, we miss you so much. She was the best studio dog ever. Always had to be right there, usually right on top of what you were working on. And she was a weirdo hammer licker! Later years she was the perfect studio companion. She followed us everywhere. Miss you, sweet sweet girl. 2009-2023.

We had the joy of creating a vibrant mosaic stairway and wall mural—designed in collaboration with the amazing Catia and brought to life with the hands and hearts of everyone at the school.

Saudade to all of you, and a huge thank you to Catia for dreaming it up and bringing us into the fold.
