I'm hosting an for The Johannsen Group at this fantastic 4 bed 3 bath home with some absolutely stunning views tomorrow, Sunday November 2nd from 1-3PM.

This very well maintained and much loved home features some great updates, a fantastic chef's kitchen and even has suite conversion potential.

For me the standout features though are the absolutely incredible lake and mountain views from the two very large back decks, and the great feeling of seclusion and privacy in the large back yard.

So don't miss your chance to check out this fantastic property tomorrow!

I was fortunate to get to spend a few hours with the team from Foragers Galley at their gorgeous Westholme property this past week, learning about their history, vision, hopes for the future and how their mushrooms are grown.

Started by three foraging friends who traveled around Vancouver Island and the Gulf Island as the documented their adventures and cooked up their finds in their boats galley (Thus where the name Foragers Galley comes from) Foragers Galley now supplies fresh mushrooms to some of South Vancouver Island's best restaurants, and sells dried mushrooms and their very cool "Grow at home" mushroom kits via over 450 retailers across North America and their very cool website:

www.foragersgalley.com

I'm excited to try growing my own mushrooms at home now, and very appreciative of the Foragers Galley team for hosting me, so check your favorite local store for their mushroom kits or check them outline to experience your own myclogical adventure!

I'm back with the latest video in my "Local businesses I love" series, this time on the super rad DeadHead Brew Co

Deadhead Brew Co, located at #203 - 5301 Chaster Rd here in Duncan, is one of those places that makes a town feel like a community. It's not just a brewery, not just a bar, and not just a restaurant, but rather a gathering place for the local community of beer lovers and all those who love them.

Check Deadhead out online at https://deadheadbrew.co/

Rising from the ashes of their space's former occupants Smallblock Brewery, Deadhead is a locally owned and operated business, run by Jeremy, Andrew and Gord, and produces 11 unique and delicious beers, in some of the best branded cans I've ever seen.

Their space is also truly fantastic, featuring a theme based on old vinyl records (That's also the source of their name) and they also feature a full menu of some truly delicious looking Indonesian inspired cuisine, along with a stage for live music performances on Saturday nights, and a cozy outdoor patio space.

I got to interview Deadhead's GM Andrew to learn more about Deadheads history and why it was important for them to start a brewery here in the Cowichan Valley, so thanks again to the whole Deadhead team for having me down to their incredible brewery!

Hey and anyone thinking of moving there, I'm hosting an open house at 4524 Buena Vista in Cowichan Bay for the The Bald Guy Real Estate Team this Sunday August 17th from 1-3PM at this great 3 bed 2.5 bath home and you're not going to want to miss this one!

This home is in immaculate condition and has a lot going for it from the heat pumps to gas fireplace, to the mature landscaping in a fully fenced yard, but best of all to me is its incredible location.

Located just minutes from the ocean and the charming hamlet of Cowichan Bay, this home is right in the heart of the and offers fantastic access to all the amazing outdoor recreation opportunities the valley has to offer.

So stop on by this Sunday and see if this could be your next home in Cowichan Bay!

Another lil' video in "Duncan Days" series, and I'm calling this one "The dog days of summer at the Duncan Farmers Market" as I made it my mission to get as many shots of cute doggos (And some parrots!) as I could when filming this one this past Saturday.

I'm just a such a huge, HUGE fan of the Duncan Farmers Market, especially in the summer time as its just got such a delightfully positive vibe and its always a real treat to see so many folks and their cute furry friends out enjoying themselves in the sunshine.

The farmer's market is honestly such a huge part of what makes feel like a thriving, vibrant community and it sure makes me super thankful to live in such a wonderful place!

I still really want to do a more "Full on" video on the farmers market where I interview some vendors and the like, but I only had a quick hour to shoot this one, so I guess the full video is still to come :)

I'm back with another video in my series on local businesses I love, this time on my favorite vintage store in the Cowichan Valley Laine Vintage

Laine Vintage, located at 79 Station st. here in downtown Duncan is a funky, fun, and family run vintage shop that features a super cool "Vintage vendor mall" in their downstairs section that has 25+ different vendors each with their own space, so there's always something fresh and different to discover each time you visit.

I got the chance to interview Emily who runs Laine Vintage with her two daughters, and it was a delight to learn more about her families' love of thrifting and why they chose to open up shop here in Duncan.
