It is soon exam time again for grades 9-12. Exams will be during the mornings June 22-25th and there will be no classes for grades 9-12 during exam week. It is important that students arrive at school on time for exams to ensure that they have enough time to complete and do their best work. Congratulations to DRHS Grade 11 students Sam McNeill and Catherine Moore on receiving the Lieutenant Governor’s Education Medal!

On Tuesday, May 19, Sam and Catherine were recognized at the Lieutenant Governor’s Education Medals Ceremony at the Halifax Central Public Library, where outstanding Grade 11 students from across Nova Scotia were celebrated for their achievements.

Hosted by the Administrator of the Province, The Honourable David Farrar, alongside the Minister Responsible for Youth, The Honourable Leah Martin, this special event recognized students who demonstrate excellence in academics, leadership, and meaningful contributions to their schools and communities.

The Lieutenant Governor’s Education Medal, established in 1961, is the oldest honour presented by the Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia, making this an especially significant achievement.

We are incredibly proud of Sam and Catherine for representing DRHS so well. Your hard work, leadership, and commitment to your school community shine brightly. 💚💛
