🪥 When was the last time you changed your toothbrush?

A worn-out toothbrush may not clean your teeth as effectively as a fresh one. We recommend replacing your
toothbrush or toothbrush head every 3-4 months, or sooner if the bristles become frayed.

✨Fresh brush. Fresh start. Healthier smile.✨

Feeling nervous about your dental appointment? You're not alone.🦷✨

Nitrous oxide (laughing gas) is a gentle sedation option that can help patients feel more relaxed and comfortable during dental treatment.

It works quickly allows you to remain awake and responsive, and typically wears off shortly after treatment.
Whether you experience dental anxiety or simply want a more comfortable visit, nitrous oxide may be an option for you.

💙Relax. Breathe. Smile.

Talk to our dental team to find out if nitrous oxide is right for your next appointment.

🧠Alberta Concussion Awareness Day

Today we’re helping raise awareness about concussions and the importance of injury prevention.

At Devon Dental Associates we see the important role that proper mouthguards can play in protecting the teeth, jaw and surrounding oral structures during sports and physical activity. While a mouthguard cannot prevent a concussion, it can reduce the severity of a concussion and reduce the risk of dental injuries.

Concussions can happen from sports, falls, accidents and other impacts and you don’t have to lose consciousness to have one. Knowing the signs, taking suspected concussions seriously, and following appropriate return to activity guidance are important steps in protecting your health.

Protect your smile. Know the signs. Play safely. 🏒🏈⚽🦷

🦷📚 A fun day of learning, laughter & healthy smiles! 💙

We were pleased to visit Early Learning Childcare Centre (ELCC) here in Devon and spend some time with the children learning about the importance of good oral health. We shared stories, demonstrated proper toothbrushing techniques, and talked about simple ways to keep their smiles healthy.

To make the visit extra special, we also handed out cavity-fighting lollipops as a fun reminder that oral health education can start early and be enjoyable too! 🍭

We are proud to support our local community and help encourage healthy dental habits from a young age. Thank you for having us.

We look forward to more opportunities to connect, educate, and support our community! 💙

At Devon Dental Associates our whitening for life program is designed to help you maintain a bright & healthy smile through ongoing professional dental care.

To Qualify:
-Complete a comprehensive dental exam
-Complete any required diagnostic x-rays as determined by the dentist
-Complete your recommended hygiene/cleaning appointment
-Have any necessary dental treatment addressed before whitening
-Remain up to date with your recommended cleaning and recall appointments

Important to Know About Existing Dental Work:
-whitening only affects natural tooth structure and will not change the colour of crowns, veneers fillings, or other dental restorations
-If you have existing dental work on your front teeth, whitening may result in a colour difference between your natural teeth and restorations

Lifetime Maintenance:
To remain eligible patients must continue regular hygiene
appointments (every 3 to 6 months as prescribed by the dental professional), periodic dental examinations, required x-rays when clinically indicated, maintain recommended dental treatment and oral health care.

*Your dentist may recommend postponing or decline whitening when clinical conditions make whitening inappropriate.

A bright smile starts with a healthy smile 🦷✨

Let's talk about your dental health!
Your smile deserves more than just brushing and flossing it deserves consistent professional care. Regular dental visits allow your dental team to monitor your oral health, identify potential concerns early, and help keep your teeth and gums healthy.

✨How often should you visit
the dentist?
For many patients routine checkups and hygiene appointments are
recommended every 6 months, but your dentist may recommend a different schedule based on your individual oral health needs.

🔬What about modern dental
technology?
Advancements such as digital X-rays, intraoral scanners, and other diagnostic tools can help dental professionals evaluate your oral health and plan treatment with greater accuracy and efficiency.

🪥Common mistakes people make with their teeth:
* Brushing too hard
* Skipping daily flossing
* Waiting until there is pain to visit the dentist
* Using an old or worn-out toothbrush
* Forgetting that gum health is just as important as tooth health

Prevention starts with consistent care.
Don't wait until something hurts to give your smile the attention it deserves!
🦷✨
